Σαρόνικνετ Μεσιτικά Γραφεία με οικόπεδα και σπίτια για πούληση στο νησί
Ύδρα, ένα από τα ελληνικά νησία στο Αργοσαρονικό κόλπο
Cute, robust,
traditionally styled, Hydra cottage for sale within an easy walk of
Hydra Harbour.
The property for sale
offers 2 floors of living space with two double bedrooms and a huge
garden which has been terraced so that it's almost a little
amphitheatre.
We have already
brought to the owner's attention that the mains electricity supply
from the town swings too low over the garden and he has taken steps
to have it removed and this will be done at his expense prior to
sale.
Located to the east
side of Hydra town but well away from the stadium so there is no
noise to put up with, this house is easy to walk to with only a few
sets of steps to negotiate. It is west facing so the top of the back
garden especially enjoys excellent sunsets.

The property is under built for the size of the land and so you could
apply for building permission to extend the existing structure or possibly add another
building if you wanted more living space. But the incoming buyer
would have to apply for permission. The 50:50 land to living space
ratio applies in this part of town, so the maximum you could extend
to would be 275sqm on a plot of 550sqm.
Ground Floor:
Entrance from front terrace into open plan floor with spiral stairs to the
centre back wall; kitchen to the right of stairs and sitting/dining room
to left of stairs, with wood burning fireplace in sitting room corner.
First Floor: Family
shower room of landing at top of spiral stairs. Twin bedroom with door to
small private balcony; Double bedroom with door to back garden.
Outside: The garden
surrounds this property on all sides. At the front there is a pleasant
entrance courtyard shaded by a pergola and bougainvillea. To one side
there is a small storage room with flat roof terrace which forms the
balcony from the twin bedroom above. The back garden is higher than the
house and terraced so that it feels like an amphitheatre. The garden is
full of flowering and scented shrubs with lots of citrus fruit and olive
trees. To one side of the back patio, steps lead down to a narrow storage
area under the back of the house. There is a sturdy all surrounding most
of the property.
Views: From the
ground windows and the entrance terrace at the front of this property, the
views are limited to the surrounding buildings. But from the first floor
windows and at the back of the garden you can see the harbour and down the
Kamini Valley to Vlichos and have beautiful sunsets in the evenings.
Notes: This little
house has been neglected a bit and could do with some diy attention and a
thorough cleaning but apart from sprucing it up, really is very liveable
as it is. It's biggest asset is it's easy proximity to the town and a
garden that could be absolutely spectacular if someone with green fingers
spent a couple of years methodically tending it. Structurally the house is
sound and the wood is in good condition (not rotten) but you need a lot of
paint brushes and quite a few gallons of paint - plus some helping hands!
